Linda Garber

Linda Sue Garber, 62, of Lebanon died Feb. 15, 2013.

She was born Jan. 22, 1951 in Lebanon to Lyle and Dorothy King.

She lived in Sweet Home until 1973 when she moved to Lebanon.

Linda was involved at Sweet Home Mennonite Church, playing organ, leading children’s musicals and teaching Sunday school. She had also served at East Linn Christian Academy and at the Mennonite Central Committee fall festival country store.

She enjoyed flower gardening, craft/scrapbooking/card making. She assisted in planning and coordinating weddings for friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Garber is survived by her husband, James Garber of Lebanon; children TJ and daughter-in-law Shawn Garber of Albany, Trent and daughter-in-law Lindsey Garber of Albany, and Travis and daughter-in-law Mallorie Garber of Turner; mother Dorothy King of Lebanon; brothers Don and sister-in-law Erna King of Albany, and Mike and sister-in-law Sandra King of Lebanon; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle King; and brother Duane King.

Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A graveside service is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Gilliland Cemetery, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Sweet Home Mennonite Church.
