Linda Lee Delano, 75, of Sweet Home passed away Feb. 22, 2022.
She was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Northome, Minn., to Francis Cyril and Elizabeth Jean (McKinnon) Magawa.
She moved to Sweet Home where she attended school. She met and married her high school sweetheart Gary J L Noah and together they had three daughters.
She worked for Sweet Home School District and taught Sunday school for several years.
In 1981 she moved to Newport where she continued to raise her girls and worked for John’s Department Store and then Safeway.
In the 1990s she moved back to Sweet Home, where she met and married her soulmate, Timothy Delano.
She was active in the American Vet’s Auxiliary.
Momma Linda loved camping, gambling and having a good time with family and friends. She was a shoulder to cry on, a cheerleader and an all-around wonderful person.
She is survived by her daughters, Shellye (Tony) Webb of Sweet Home, Kaci Noah (Josh Poe) of Newport, and Staci Noah-Corriea (Matt) of Chico, Calif.; grandchildren Samantha, Justin and Noah of Sweet Home, Alanson and Payton of Newport, and Derik and Ryder of Chico, Calif.; step-daughters Tonya and Tara; six great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Delano; brother Dennis Ray Magawa; and her parents.
Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday May 7, 2022 at Sweet Home Vet’s Club, time to be announced.
