Linda Milligan

Linda Lee Tacy Milligan, 63, of Lebanon, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at her home.

She was born Jan. 23, 1948 in Lebanon, the daughter of Varner and Violet (Parrish) Tacy. She resided in Lebanon until moving to Sweet Home in 1966 and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1967.

She continued to live in Sweet Home, where she raised her four daughters and worked as a cook for the Spring and Mollie’s Bakery and also as a caregiver in various care homes in the Sweet Home and Lebanon area.

She married Larry Milligan on Sept. 3, 1983 in Lebanon. They resided in Sweet Home until moving to Lebanon in 1995 so Mrs. Milligan could help care for her parents.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #51. She loved shopping, playing bingo, going to the Oregon Coast and camping. Mrs. Milligan also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Milligan is survived by her husband, Larry of Lebanon; daughters Catherine Kropf of Lebanon, Charlotte Roska and Cheryl Wirth, both of Sweet Home, and Virginia Smithburg of Albany; brothers Bill Tacy of Lebanon, Dave Tacy of Bend and Patrick Tacy of Salem; sister Mary Youmans of Lebanon; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Darren Paxton.

Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home.
