LINE arrests SH man on meth charge

The Linn Interagency Narcotics Enforcement team arrested a 58-year-old Sweet Home man Sept. 19 in the 2000 block of Main Street in connection to a search warrant served in the 43000 block of Wiley Creek Road.

John Dee Colburn was charged with unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and lodged at Linn County Jail.

LINE served the search warrant with assistance from Linn County Regional SWAT, said Albany Police Deparmtent Lt. Jerry Drum. As a result of the arrest and search warrant investigators seized multiple ounces of methamphetamine.

The LINE Taskforce was established as a result of Linn County being designated as a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) in 2016. The team is comprised of investigators from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Albany Police Department, Lebanon Police Department, Sweet Home Police Department, Oregon State Police, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and Oregon National Guard Counterdrug Task Force.

The mission of LINE is to reduce illegal drug trafficking in the Linn County area by identifying, disrupting, or dismantling drug trafficking and money laundering organizations through cooperative efforts, enforcement, and intelligence sharing by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
