Linnie “Irene” Gilbert, 95, of Sweet Home died Jan. 12, 2017 in Albany.
She was born in Edmon, N.C., to George W. and Ethel (Lyons) Moxley on March 6, 1921.
She married Arnold Richards, and they came to Sweet Home in 1949. Mr. Richards died in 1966.
Later in life Mrs. Gilbert worked at Mollie’s Bakery, Charm’s boutique and eventually White’s Electronics.
She married Joseph Gilbert of Lebanon in Hawaii in December 1977. The two lived in Lebanon until Mr. Gilbert died. Mrs. Gilbert returned to Sweet Home.
She belonged to Harvest Christian Center for many years before her health kept her from attending.
Mrs. Gilbert is survived by children, Arnold Richards of Plains, Mont., Frank Richards of Lebanon, Stanley Richards of Sweet Home; eight grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother Homer Moxley and sister Nyrell Moxley.
