Rob Waibel, a Sweet Home native and resident of West Linn, just missed winning his eighth Ironjack championship as he finished third at the Stihl Dogs and Logs World Championship Sunday.
Qualifying in the top eight, Waibel, 45, competed in the semi-final round Saturday to earn a spot in the Iron Jack finals on Sunday at the State Fair.
