Local grillers to show off skills in Fair contest

The Linn County Fair will host the Painted Hills Natural Beef Backyard Grilling Contest on Sunday, July 18.

This event is open to anyone with a barbecue. There is no entry fee and all contestants have to do is show up with their BBQ and cook some Painted Hills Natural Beef (which will be supplied by contest organizers at the Linn County Fair. The winner will move onto the State Fair for official bragging rights.

First Prize is a brand new Weber “One Touch” 22.5 grill.

Deadline to enter is Friday, July 9. Space is limited.

The Fair runs July 15-18 and includes a carnival, Red Canoe Family Land, 4-H and FFA exhibits, Car Show in the Park, Antique Tractor Show, Commercial Booths, Bull Bash and Wild and Wooly activities.
