Local kids compete in Elks Hoop Shoot

Sweet Home Elks Lodge held its annual Hoop Shoot competition Saturday, Jan. 18, at Sweet Home Junior High’s main gymnasium.

Results, as reported by the Elks, are as follows:

8-9 Girls – (1) Piper Smith; (2) Nora Cochran; (3) Naomi Huff; (4) Reina Rodgers. 

8-9 Boys – (1) Rayden Samson; (2) Liam Luehring; (3) Eli Beskae. 

Girls 10-11 competitors, with Elks Randy Claasen, left and Bobby McDermot, right, are, from left, Amirah Spradling of Oak Heights, Chloe Roberts of Oak Heights (who competed in the 12-13 Division) Lainey Foster of Foster and Addalee Smith of Lacomb.

 

 

 

10-11 Girls – (1) Addalee Smith; (2) Lainey Foster; (3) Cloe Roberts; (4) Amirah Spradlin. 

10-11 Boys – (1) Liam Tucci; (2) Julius Santos*; (3) Alex Correia; (4) Bentley Black; (5) Colter Sands. *Although Julius Santos qualified for district, he will be unable to participate due to a scheduling conflict, so Alex Correia will represent Sweet Home. 

12-13 Girls – (1) Qynn Whitney; (2) Cloe Roberts.
