Michael Joseph Perez of Sweet Home was sentenced on Feb. 12 in Linn County Circuit Court to 14 months in prison for delivery of methamphetamine and felon in possession of a firearm.
Sweet Home police arrested Perez on Nov. 6 in connection to a search warrant it served at 40370 Holley Heights Loop.
Perez pleaded guilty to the charges on Jan. 4. Charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance in Schedule II were dismissed.
For delivery of methamphetamine, he was sentenced to 13 months in prison and 24 months post-prison supervision. His license is suspended until August, and he was fined $500.
For felon in possession of a firearm, Perez will serve 30 days in prison with credit for time served. He was fined $200.
During the Nov. 6 investigation, detectives seized methamphetamine, scales, a firearm, restricted weapons, cash and drug paraphernalia, said Police Chief Jeff Lynn. Police opened an investigation due to reported drug sales by Perez.
Perez has a previous conviction for the delivery of methamphetamine and was on supervision through Linn County Parole and Probation, Lynn said.
