Local residents among OSU, UO grads

The 2008 graduating class from Oregon State University was one of the largest in the school’s history on Sunday, June 15, in Reser Stadium.

The class of 2008 included some 4,365 students receiving 4,586 degrees, according to OSU Registrar Kent Kuo. Of those, 3,608 are bachelor’s degrees, 684 master’s degree and 294 Ph.D.s and professional degrees.

Graduates from the Sweet Home area include:

Amanda L. Boughner, bachelor of arts, liberal studies;

Timothy E. Chase, bachelor of science, liberal studies;

Emily Y. Coulter, bachelor of science, summa cum laude, general science;

Franklin D. Craig Jr., master of arts in Interdisciplinary studies, music;

Ashley M. Culley, bachelor of science, zoology;

Calvin H. Doner, bachelor of science, construction engineering management.

Cindi A. Gee, bachelor of science, business administration;

Steven L. Haney, bachelor of science, business administration;

Daniel E. Joiner, bachelor of science, computer engineering;

John C. Joiner, bachelor of science, physics;

Stacie L. Mauch, bachelor of science, exercise and sport science;

Debra S. Paul, bachelor of science, agricultural business management; and

Katie D. Scott, bachelor of science, liberal studies.

Megan Snow graduated cum laude in December with a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration.
