Local woman serving jail sentence in kidnapping case

Cynthia Gourley, 21, is serving out a two-month jail sentence on conviction of two counts of second-degree assault related to a kidnapping case in Albany in April.

Gourley pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree assault on Oct. 12.

Dismissed were charges of first-degree kidnapping, second-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault and harassment.

She was sentenced to two months in jail and five years probation. Fines and assessments were $527 with $350 suspended.

Gourley is scheduled for release from Linn County Jail on Nov. 23.
