Lorene McFarland, 92, of Sweet Home died Oct. 22, 2014.
She was born Dec. 29, 1921 in Chickasha, Okla. to John C. and May (Tollett) Parker.
She graduated from high school in Wright City, Okla. She married J.C. McFarland Feb. 7, 1948. They moved to Sweet Home in 1951 and have resided in Sweet Home for 63 years. Mrs. McFarland enjoyed gardening and making pies.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, J.C. McFarland; sons, Terry and daughter-in-law Sonya McFarland, and Marty McFarland; one granddaughter; a sister, Francis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McFarland was preceded in death by her grandson, Cody McFarland; sisters Hazel and Marylee; and her parents.
Viewing will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is planned at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at Harvest Christian Church in Sweet Home, with burial following at Gilliland Cemetery.
