Luella Daniels Emry, 69, of Tigard died of ovarian cancer at her home on Oct. 7.
She was born in Revillo, S.D., to Fred and Susie Daniels. The family moved to Oregon in 1940.
She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1954. She received her nursing degree in 1956.
On April 25, 1970, she married Lloyd Emry in Beaverton, and they made their home in Tigard. She was employed by Kaiser Permanente until her retirement.
Mrs. Emry is survived by her husband, Lloyd; children, Duane and Kelly Emry of Yamhill and Colleen and Miguel Martinez of Lake Oswego; eight grandchildren; mother, Susie of Sweet Home; brothers and sisters, Sally and Rod Wolfer of Sweet Home, Norene Cannon of Sweet Home, Betty and Tim Bagley of Sweet Home, Judy and Homer McAdams of McMinnville, Howard and Jan Daniels of Albany; Janet and Jerry Hillyard of Nampa, Idaho, and Marvin and Carlene Daniels of Nampa, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1997.
A memorial service was held at Beaverton Nazarene Church on Oct. 13 at 11 a.m.
