Mamie LaVerne Boeckel, 95, of Sweet Home died Aug. 19, 2015.
She was born Oct. 4, 1919 in Sweet Home to James C. and Zelma (Casebeer) Godwin.
She lived all of her life in Sweet Home.
Mrs. Boeckel worked as a cook for the Sweet Home School District for many years and was a member of the Lutheran church.
Sewing, crocheting, baking, being outdoors, and gardening were many of her hobbies. She loved flowers.
Mrs. Boe-ckel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Wright and son-in-law John Ericksen, and Arlene and son-in-law Forest Burks; son Ron and daughter-in-law Nancy Boeckel; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Boe-ckel was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Julia Davis; and her husband of 56 years, R.T. Boeckel.
A graveside service was held Aug. 22 at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.
