Brandon Scott Schatz, 29, was sentenced in Linn County Circuit Court Sept. 28 to 50 days in jail in connection with four cases that prompted approximately 20 reports of cutting and damaging phone, cable and power lines and boxes in Sweet Home.
He was also sentenced to 18 months of probation and fined $1,000. His license was suspended for six months.
Sweet Home police arrested Schatz multiple times in August in connection to the reported damage to utilities.
He pleaded no contest to four counts of first-degree criminal mischief and possession of methamphetamines on Sept. 28.
Dismissed were first-degree criminal trespass, three counts of first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, one count of third-degree criminal mischief and one count of second-degree theft.
Jail terms were consecutive and Schatz received credit for time served.
