Former Sweet Home star pitcher Makenzie Marchbanks has signed to play softball for Corban College.
Marchbanks, a 5-foot-6 right-handed hurler, comes to Corban following two seasons at Walla Walla Community College. As the ace of the Warriors’ pitching staff last season, Marchbanks accumulated a win-loss record of 23-9 with an Earned Run Average of 0.98. In 220-plus innings of work, Marchbanks registered a team-best 268 strikeouts that included a team-high 8.50 K’s per game.
