Marian Louise Wood, 62, of Sweet Home, died Sept. 26 at her home.
She was born January 9, 1943, the daughter of Sam and Helen (House) Moody. She lived in the Lebanon and Sweet Home area for most of her life.
Mrs. Wood attended grade school in Fairview and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1961. After high school, she worked for Morse Brothers for 10 years. She then worked for Willamette Industries in Central Purchasing, for more than 30 years. She retired in 2002 due to health reasons.
She married Raymond Wood on May 22, 1983 in Sweet Home.
Mrs. Wood loved horses and especially enjoyed horseback riding at the beach. Her favorite horses of her own were Imp, Poncho, and Dusty. She also enjoyed her cattle. She liked camping in the Cascade Mountains and also enjoyed bowling and was part of a league. She loved celebrating and decorating her home for all holidays.
She is survived by: her husband, Raymond Wood of Sweet Home; daughters Marian Lynn Turnbull and husband Tat of Lebanon, Kathy Williams and husband Gerald of Lebanon, and Cheryl Willoughby of Burbank, Wash.; mother Helen Moody of Lebanon; brother Willis Moody of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and grandchildren Cari Talkington of Lebanon, Raymond Talkington who is stationed in Kandahur, Afghanistan, and his wife Skye, Suzan Larsen of Kennewick, Wash., Danielle Willoughby also of Kennewick, Tressa and Travis Turnbull of Lebanon, and Tyler Willoughby of Eugene.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her father, Sam Moody.
