Marilyn Sue Donaldson, age 72, died Feb. 3, 2015 in Sweet Home after a brief struggle with lung cancer.
Mrs. Don-aldson beat breast cancer 10 years ago, which strengthened her resolve to live life to its fullest. Her commitment as a mother and grandmother came first and foremost in her life.
She worked for the Cascade Lumber Mill in Willamina, and the U.S. Forest Service in Bend, where she assisted in the debris location and recovery of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
Mrs. Donaldson is survived by her sister Darlene and brother Denis; four children, Steve, Shannon, Darel and Michael; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Wayne Donaldson, who died July 5, 2009.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
