Marion Killins

Marion Maeve Killins, 71, of Sweet Home died Nov. 10, 2015.

She was born Jan. 25, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Karl and Eleanor (Sheldon) Laucher.

She was raised in Philadelphia and San Francisco and graduated from high school in Los Gatos, Calif. She lived in the San Bernardino, Calif. area from the 1960s until 2000, when she moved to Sweet Home.

While in California Mrs. Killins owned an antique/thrift resale store and volunteered for various food banks. She was a baker for many years.

Mrs. Killins was a collector of many things; she loved to decorate extensively for Halloween and other holidays. She loved animals and enjoyed working in her yard and house. If you ever met her, she would have an impact on your life, somehow.

Mrs. Killins is survived by her sons, Jason Gaylord and Jared Gaylord of Sweet Home; brothers Karl Laucher of San Jose, Calif.; Terry Laucher of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and Joel Laucher of the Bay Area; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Killins, in April of 2015.

A memorial celebration is planned for 2 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the American Legion Hall, 1127 Long St.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
