Marjory Catherine Fitzwater, 85, of Lebanon, died on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008.
She was born May 29, 1923 in Corvallis, the daughter of Phillip and Bessie (Gragg) Fleischman.
She grew up in Corvallis and following high school, attended Oregon State University for two years. She then attended Secretarial College in Portland for two years.
She married Lowell “Rusty” Fitzwater in 1950. They settled in the Berlin area of Lebanon.
Mrs. Fitzwater had been a homemaker and later worked for Smokecraft in Albany. Mr. Fitzwater preceded her in death in 1998.
Mrs. Fitzwater loved her church and belonged to the Waterloo Chapel.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting, fishing and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was also fond of the outdoors, especially going to the coast and Rogue River.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patrick and Kathy Fitzwater of Lebanon and Sylvia Kay and Mack Cunningham of Klamath Falls; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and lifetime friend Edna Wiese.
Her sister Phylis Dentel preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 1, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home.
Burial followed at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
