Mark C. Pace, 71, formerly of Sweet Home, died unexpectedly Nov. 20, 2021, in his home in Indiana.
He was born Feb. 23, 1950 in Loudon County, Tenn., to Lush and Tina (Johnson) Pace.
Mr. Pace earned an associate’s degree from Linn-Benton Community College and worked for Hewlett Packard, where he assembled computer components for many years. He later retired from Georgia Pacific after more than 20 years of faithful service. He attended Northview Church in Carmel, Ind.
Mr. Pace was a man of many interests who liked to “tinker” and could fix anything. He enjoyed woodworking, tying flies for fishing in the neighborhood pond, and driving convertible sports cars. He was a friend to everyone he met.
Mr. Pace was always ready with a great story, a funny T-shirt, and a heart filled with kindness. He will be remembered for the unwavering love that he had for his friends and family, who will miss him dearly.
Mr. Pace is survived by his wife of 43 years, Suzanne (Howlett) Pace; one daughter, Megan and son-in-law Ryan Jones of Albany; a son, Charley and daughter-in-law Kendra Pace of Carmel; four brothers, Donald and sister-in-law Sandra Pace of Lenoir City, Tenn., Jerry Pace of Eugene, Jimmy Pace of Lenoir City, and Reggie and sister-in-law Dena Pace of Sweet Home; two sisters, Diane Bell and Benda Helton, both of Lenoir City; five grandchildren; and many very special nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
Mr. Pace was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Tommy, Hayden, Billy, Alton, Richard and Jeffrey; and his sister, Elizabeth.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you practice an act of kindness toward someone in remembrance of Mr. Pace.
