M. Marlene Shearer, 76, of Sweet Home died June 12, 2013.
She was born Aug. 21, 1936 in Borger, Texas, to Jesse M. and Delsie (Bain) Hudson.
She moved to Oregon in the early 1970s, living in Linn and Lane counties before settling in Sweet Home in September of 1998.
Mrs. Shearer was a registered nurse since 1957. She worked in clinics and with many doctors, but with her love of children she worked mostly in pediatrics. She was a member of Sweet Home Assembly of God and a true prayer warrior.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and cooking. She continued her activities, even after being declared legally blind 15 years ago.
Mrs. Shearer is survived by her husband Ron; sons Ron Jr. and Sean; sister Rochelle of Weaver, Texas; and five grandchildren.
A celebration of life is planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at the Sweet Home Assembly of God.
