Mary “Alice” Gilman, 88, of Sweet Home, passed away Feb. 28, 2025.
She was born Nov. 22, 1936, to Mary A. (Cox) and Ruby Sanders in Peoria, Ariz.
She had lived in Sweet Home since 2001.
Alice was a certified nursing assistant for more than 31 years and a caretaker until 2006. She enjoyed embroidery, watching birds, feeding hummingbirds and loved to read.
Alice is survived by her sons, Phillip Rivas and Ruben Rivas, both of Sweet Home; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward (1969), her parents, four sisters, three children and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 1042 Pleasant Valley Road.
