Mary Louise Clark-Verley-Poitras-Eckles, 86, of Sweet Home died Oct. 15, 2012.
She was born Nov. 14, 1925 in Foster to William and Mary (Rollings) Clark.
She lived in Southern California, Southern Oregon, Battle Mountain, Nev., Scio and Sweet Home.
Mrs. Eckles worked as a floor lady at the Stayton Cannery, at a nursing home in California and as an assayer in Nevada.
She enjoyed crocheting doilies and table cloths. She loved fishing with Orvel, canning when she was younger and making wonderful maple bars.
Mrs. Eckles is survived by a daughter, Alice Lewis of Sweet Home; sons Emery and Jon Verley, both of Prineville; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Orvel, Bill and Frank; son Tony Verley; sisters Bessie, Mabel, Hilda, Tina, Ethal, Nancy, Lorean, Elsie and Nadine; and brothers Nelson, John, Manuel and Kenneth.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Miller Cemetery in Scio. A Celebration of Life is planned at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the Vets Club in Sweet Home.
