Mary Jo Taylor, 61, of Foster died May 11, 2011.
She was born June 15, 1949 in Lebanon to T.J. and Francis (Comer) Adams.
She was raised in the Sodaville/ Lebanon area from 1949 to 1969. She attended Lebanon High School.
Mrs. Taylor moved to Central Oregon in 1969 and lived there for 13 years. After that she moved to Newport for a year and a half then back to Sweet Home for the rest of her life.
She was an in-home care helper and skilled in domestic arts. She enjoyed bingo, bunko, puzzles, typing, camp hosting and watching movies. She also enjoyed her C.B. radio and was known by the handle “Dodo.”
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Bill Taylor of Sweet Home; “Keno” her old English Bulldog; brothers Gary Adams of Newport, Terry Adams of Lebanon and Jerry and sister-in-law Janet Adams of Lebanon; sister Cherry Kay Walker of Lebanon; 17 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and many adopted children whom she claimed as her own.
A memorial service is planned at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel, with a reception following at the VFW.
