Matthew Douglas Rowe, 23, died May 18, 2008.

He was born Sept. 20, 1984 in Lebanon to Donald and Victoria Rowe. He was a 2003 graduate of Sweet Home High School.

The highlight of Mr. Rowe’s life was the birth of his daughter Tori Kaylee Marie Rowe. He was a devoted father, brother, and son. He enjoyed and loved being with his family and friends, and was loved by all that were around him.

Mr. Rowe was a very happy-go-lucky person who lived his life to the fullest. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and also loved camping. One of his favorite memories was of his first bagged elk with his Uncle David Dunaway.

He is survived by his daughter, Tori Kaylee Marie Rowe, and her mother, Chantel Forsburg, of Sweet Home; his father, Donald Ray Rowe of Eldorado, Ark.; his mother, Victoria Lynn Sorensen and stepfather Robert Sorensen of Lyons; maternal grandmother Ina Dunaway of Sweet Home; paternal grandparents Donald and Patsy Rowe of Broken Bow, Okla; sister and brother-in-law Heather Lynn and Jason Williams and niece Katelyn Leann Williams of Bend; brother Daniel Oliver Rowe, stationed at the U.S. Naval Base in Norfolk, Va.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Dunaway Sr.; and great-grandmother Martha Westbrook.

He was laid to rest beside his grandfather at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.
