Maureen Lucky, 54, of Sweet Home died Dec. 27, 2005 at the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1951 in Yreka, Calif., the daughter of Kenneth and Juanita (Pappe) TeVogt. Her family moved to Alaska while she was a youth. She graduated in Anchorage and later attended Brigham Young University, studying for a teaching degree.
She married Ronnie Lucky on June 26, 1976 in Anchorage, Alaska. The couple and their children moved back and forth between California and Alaska for many years. In 1991, while in Oregon, the Luckys bought a house in Sweet Home and settled there.
Mrs. Lucky became a Sweet Home Husky sports fan. She loved her religion, loved life and never knew a stranger.
She is survived by: her husband, Ronnie; three children, Kendra Lucky of Sweet Home, Margarette Kirk and husband Joe of Lebanon and Carl Lucky of Sweet Home; mother, Juanita TeVogt of California; and sister Tami TeVogt, also of California. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth TeVogt.
A memorial service was held Dec. 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweet Home. Private burial took place at the Gilliland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Lucky’s name. Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
