Maxine Dorothy Casey, 79, of Lebanon died Jan. 19, 2008.
She was born June 18, 1928 in Hot Springs, S.D., to Gustoff and Julia (Peterson) Romey.
She moved to El Monte, Calif., with her family when she was 16. They later settled in Lakewood, Calif. She met Edward Silva during high school and they married after high school. They had one daughter Jewell. Edward worked as a dairyman.
The then-Mrs. Silva became a widow at a young age, raising her daughter. She and Jewell moved many times over the years. She lived in California most of her life.
She married Frank Casey later in life. Their time together brought them to Sweet Home.
Mrs. Casey loved life. Her adventurous spirit led to many travels, motorcycle rides and enjoying the outdoors.
Mrs. Casey is survived by her daughter, Jewell Dobernecker and her husband Dale of La Habra, Calif.; two brothers, Oliver Romey and Donald Romey; a sister, Margaret Frailey; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Silva, in 1947; second husband, Frank Casey, in 1998; three brothers, Robert Romey, Buster Romey and Leon Romey; and one sister, Mildred Riccetelli.
A service will be held at a later date in California.
