Maxon William Trent, 78, of Prineville died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at Ochoco Care Center.
He was born in Richmond on March 19, 1929 to Oliver and Hester (Brooks) Trent.
He married Tillie Huntley in Washington on March 21, 1950.
He worked at the Kinzua Mill, the Hudspeth Mill and Willamette Industries as a gang saw feeder in Sweet Home. He retired in 1994 after working in the mills for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Union.
He lived in Kinzua and then moved to Prineville in 1963. In 1964, he moved to Sweet Home. He returned to Prineville in 2002.
Mr. Trent enjoyed boating, water skiing, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Tillie Trent of Prineville; sons, Russel Trent and his wife, Mary, of Prineville, Lloyd Trent and his wife, Tammy, of Alaska; daughter, Bonnie Elsemere of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Oliver Trent of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pat Calvert, in 2005; and daughter, Connie, in 2004.
Arragements are under the direction of Prineville Funeral Home.
At his request, no public services will be held.
