Mayco Clara Wiles, 79, of Sweet Home died April 26, 2009.
She was born March 29, 1930 in Oklahoma to Virgal and Minnie (Rogers) Martin.
She attended Buck Creek Elementary and Panama High School. She married Walter Riley Wiles on June 11, 1949 in Oklahoma.
The Wileses came to Sweet Home soon after. Mrs. Wiles worked at Harrisburg molding plant, Stayton Cannery and White’s Electronics. After many years of working, the couple retired from their jobs. They enjoyed life and spending time outdoors. Mrs. Wiles loved hunting, camping, canning and being a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, John and daughter-in-law Melody of Sweet Home, Ralph and daughter-in-law Diane of Brookings, and Jerry of Sweet Home; sister Johnnie Goodson of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wiles; son Ron Wiles; three brothers and three sisters.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, also at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
