Men charged for murder in connection with body found in Foster Reservoir

Linn County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men in connection with the murder of David Jesse Shoop, whose body was found in Foster Reservoir on Dec. 10.

Arrested were Robert Andrew Peel, 35, of 45066 Whiskey Butte Rd. and Tony Frederick Pike, 44, of Philomath.

Peel was charged with murder. Pike was charged with murder and conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance.

Pike was arrested at the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 11 a.m. on Feb. 15 after being interviewed by detectives. Peel was arrested at approximately 10 a.m. during a traffic stop in Sweet Home on Feb. 16.

Both men were lodged in the Linn County Jail.

The case remains under investigation, and no other information is being released at this time.
