Merle Christine Linder
November 27, 1964 – April 7, 2024
Merle Christine Linder (King) who was known as Chris, 59, of Sweet Home passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024 joining her beloved husband Albert Paul Linder, her parents Marion Gail Loftis and Merle Donald King from Corvallis.
She moved to Western Oregon in the early 1990’s eventually settling in Sweet Home, where she mostly stayed until her passing. Loving the area not only for its beauty but for the family and friends that live there.
Chris was able to be a stay at home mom after her children were teens. In her free time she enjoyed having coffee with her friends and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Family was everything to Chris. Earlier in life she proudly worked with her husband running A&C Construction and A&C Taxi in Sweet Home. Chris was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back and be there to support her loved ones in times of need, never expecting anything in return. Chris was a quick witted smart woman who got through all of the hurdles in life with an amazing sense of humor, trusting God was there by her side. She was a proud Christian. She loved life and enjoyed every minute she spent on earth.
Chris is survived by her children: Tye Daniel King, Russell Allen Ray Jr., Michelle Kimberly Ray, the bonus Linder children she raised with Al: Debbie, Jacob, James, and her many grandchildren, as well as her siblings: Kevin King, Deborah Eckley, Terry Wright, Melena Loftis, Kim Vladyka, Bobby Joe and Rick Pulse, her adored Uncle David King and numerous nieces and nephews.
