Meth Lab Found

After being gone for a few days, a Sweet Home man came home to find a meth lab in his camper Monday.

“The owner of the vehicle called and reported finding suspicious items in it,” Sweet Home Police Sgt. Jeff Lynn said. He found that his camper had been entered while he was gone and discovered the items when he went into it.

A police officer responded at approximately 1:55 p.m. to the location, a camper parked in front of 1004 Nandina St., and located what he believed were items needed for a meth lab.

Linn County Sheriff’s Office assisted with processing the lab, Lynn said. Items seized included chemicals, glassware, suspected meth residue and other lab items.

Police made no arrests, and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information that might help should contact Sweet Home Police Department at 367-5181.
