Michael Wayne Ferebee, 64, of Sweet Home died Dec. 25, 2019 in Grants Pass.
He was born Jan. 17, 1955 in Eugene to William Baster and Dorothy (Holdridge) Ferebee.
He lived mainly in Sweet Home when he wasn’t driving long haul across the states. He resided in Las Vegas during the late 1970s and early ’80s.
Mr. Ferebee worked for ODOT for 30 years, driving equipment and maintaining the roads. He retired and took a few years off then started driving long-haul semi trucks across the states.
When he was healthier he loved camping, fishing, and rockhounding with family and grandkids. He loved his TV shows and he enjoyed yard sailing with his granddaughter.
Mr. Ferebee is survived by April Ferebee of Tillamook County; sons Patrick and daughter-in-law Amanda Ferebee, and Michael Ferebee, all of Sweet Home; brother James and sister-in-law Rose Ferebee of Sweet Home; sister Virginia Kass of Nebraska; three grandchildren, all of Sweet Home; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, DaShawn Ferebee; sister Barbara May; father William Ferebee; and mother Dorothy Holdridge.
Family will be having a private family celebration of life at a later date.
