He was born Sept. 18, 1943 in Sweet Home to John F. and Ruth (Gerard) Witcraft.
He was raised in Sweet Home, where he attended Sweet Home schools. He enlisted in the United States Marines November of 1960 and was honorably discharged in November of 1964.
