Mildred Ellen Myers, 100, of Sweet Home, died Sept. 20, 2007.
She was born Jan. 1, 1907 in Halstead, Kan. to Joseph and Martha (Heatwole) Hartzler.
On Sept. 23, 1928 she married Ralph Myers Sr. They moved from Kansas to Sweet Home in 1945. She drove school bus for Liberty School for six years and was very active in the Sweet Home and Brownsville Mennonite Churches.
Mrs. Myers is survived by her children, Gladys Paulus, Hazel Steckly, Roberta Slagell, Ralph Myers Jr. and Velma Ropp; sisters, Ida Slagell and Leona Watson; 25 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Sr.; brothers, Willard and Clifford Hartzler; sister, Ethel Lind; and great-grandchild, Titus Miller.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 28 at Brownsville Mennonite church. Private burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.
