‘Missing’ Sweet Home man turns up in Florence

Almost immediately after Sweet Home police reported they were searching for a missing man last week, he turned up in Florence to report that he was OK.

On Sept. 8, Sweet Home Police Department issued a press release asking for the public’s help in finding Milton Charles Kintzley Jr., 49, of Sweet Home.

He had been seen last by family members in mid-April. Assuming he had left to visit a friend, family members were not concerned until they discovered later that no one had heard from him, police said.

Within the next 24 hours, Kintzley walked into the Florence Police Department, where officers verified his identification, Detective Cyndi Pichardo said.

“He stated he was fine and didn’t wish to reveal further information.”
