The Husky volleyball team lost a tough game against Molalla 6-15, 15-11 and 7-15 on Thursday night.
“The kids played so hard, but not well enough to beat Molalla,” Coach Steve Emmert said.
Molalla opened with a quick 15-7 win in the first game, but the Huskies turned up the intensity to snatch the second game 15-11.
The tried to keep that intensity up in the third game, Coach Emmert said, but Molalla did several things well to lock down the win, 15-7.
The Huskies played “really well” and competitively, Coach Emmert said.
Mahria Zook had a great night with six kills and leading in blocking. Kara Watkins added six kills. Ashley Severns had 13 digs. Amanda Burcham had eight digs.
The Huskies lost in two to Cascade earlier in the week.
On Saturday, they traveled to McKay High School in Salem going 3-3 in pool play. They lost to McMinnville, split with South Salem and defeated Crook County.
They lost to Silverton in bracket play.
