Myrna A. Nelson, 69, of Crawfordsville died from complications related to a brain tumor on Aug. 18 at the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 20, 1938 in Lebanon the daughter of Paul and Ida (Kapperman) Vorderstrasse. She attended Denny Grade School and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1956. She married Kenneth White Jr. in Lebanon on Oct. 13, 1956. From this union were born a daughter, Tamara, and a son, Ronald. The Whites later divorced.
Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker while her children were young. She then worked as a real estate agent at Lawrence Real Estate in Lebanon for many years.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lebanon. She loved spending time with her grandchil-dren, gar-dening, collecting antiques, making ceramics and was an excellent cook.
She married Tommy Nelson in Lebanon on April 23, 1988.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, Tommy of Crawfordsville; daughter, Tamara Kay White of Sweet Home; son, Ronald Craig White of Lebanon; stepchildren, Marc Nelson of Brownsville and Lauri Church of Halsey; brothers, Charles, Wallace and Kenneth Vorderstrasse, all of Lebanon; sister, Velma Howard of Lebanon; five grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and distant family members.
Funeral services were held Aug. 23 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with interment in the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
