Nancy Gaskey

Aug. 25, 1938 – Nov. 25, 2005

Nancy Elizabeth (Crenshaw) Gaskey, 67, of Lebanon, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005 at her home after a long battle with breast cancer.

She was born on August 25, 1938 in Wright City, OK the daughter of Troy and Irene (Harrison) Crenshaw.

She married Edward Gaskey in 1957 in Oklahoma. The couple moved to Oregon in 1966 with her three young children. They lived in several Linn County areas before settling on Fairview Road, outside of Lebanon.

Mrs. Gaskey loved her grandchildren first and foremost. She also loved quilting, canning, cooking, reading and drinking coffee with friends.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Gaskey of Lebanon; sons Robert and Roy Gaskey of Sweet Home; daughters Cheryl Gaskey and Gina Messer of Lebanon, Charlette Lopez of Forest Grove, and Nadine Egan of Wright City, Okla.; sister, Patricia Crenshaw Bean of Broken Bow, Okla.; 18 grandchildren and too many great-grandchildren, extended family, friends and neighbors to mention.

Preceding her in death were brothers Jerry and Billy Crenshaw; and sisters Rada Faye McCary, Brenda Johnson, and Rebecca Crenshaw; and her daughter, Alice Gaskey-Smith.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 29.

The family suggests that donations be made to Breast Cancer Awareness, which may be made in care of Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel at 1443 Long St. Sweet Home, OR 97386.
