Nancy Slauson

Nancy Ann (Duncan) Slauson, 75, of Portland died June 18, 2007 in Portland.

She was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Tillamook to Harvey John and O. Laveda (Olson) Duncan. She was raised in Tillamook and graduated from Tillamook High School. She married John Slauson in 1951 in Tillamook.

Mrs. Slauson lived in Tillamook until moving to Portland in 1953, to the Rockwood area. In 1990, she moved to Sweet Home, where she lived until moving to Colorado Springs, Colo., one year ago. She moved back to Portland in May.

She was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Sweet Home, the Kiwanis, the League of Women Voters and the Gresham Jaycees. She was a founding member of St. Aidan’s Church in Portland. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her sons, David Slauson of Gresham, Robert Slauson of Lincoln, Neb., Daniel Slauson of Portland, and Tom Pfaff of Nez Perce, Idaho; a daughter, Cynthia Thurber of Portland; brother, Harvey John Duncan of Trinidad, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1998.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on July 17 at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, 17405 NE Glisan St., Portland. Disposition was by cremation.
