New coach brings college soccer experience to pitch

A former Division I college and semi-pro soccer player has been named head coach of the boys soccer program at Sweet Home High School.

Ryan Regrutto, 29, was selected from four applicants for the position vacated when Al Grove resigned.

Athletic Director Tim Porter said Regrutto was picked “mainly because of both his playing and coaching experience.”

Regrutto has also been an assistant coach at the high school and Division II college level.
