Work has been completed on four traffic cameras and message signs on I-5 between Albany and Salem, the Oregon Department of Transportation reported Oct. 3.
In response to unreliable travel times, congestion and delays caused by crashes between Albany and Salem, ODOT implemented recommendations and guidance from the I-5 Optimization Project report to remove older signs and replace them with new variable message board signs and traffic congestion cameras. Cost of the project was $4,650,720.
