Nominations announced for Distinguished Service Awards

The Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce has announced the nominees for its annual Distinguished Service Awards banquet, scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Santiam, 880 18th Ave.

The event “celebrates the hard work, dedication, and contributions of our friends and neighbors who have significantly impacted our town,” chamber Executive Director Lagea Mull said.

A social hour begins at 5 p.m. with the awards ceremony/dinner taking place at 6. Angela Tack Food Service will cater the event, with a dessert auction provided by the Dessert Dash.

This year’s nominations were “a record,” according to Mull, who called it “a testament to our community members’ remarkable talent and dedication.”

She said the event is “an excellent opportunity to network, meet new people, and strengthen our community ties.”
