Norman Villines

Norman Darle Villines, 84, of Sweet Home, passed away Dec. 24, 2025.
He was born Feb. 24, 1941, in Low Gap, Ark., to Thomas and Alpha (Wishon) Villines.
Norman grew up in Low Gap before moving to Sweet Home in 1959. He worked at Willamette Industries for 33 years.
He enjoyed many different activities, including: bowling, riding horses, guns, gardening, fishing, hiking, camping and telling stories. He loved baseball and was a coach and an umpire.
Norman was a Christian and attended a few different churches, including River of Life Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife, Zelma of Sweet Home; children Kathy Ackerman, Gwenda Campbell, Douglas Villines and Victor Villines; eight grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lex, Herman, Archie, Blanche, Eunice and Avanell Villines.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at River of Life Fellowship. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
