The low score for the Husky girls golf squad in their first 18-hole match of the year was a 132 by Oakley Tyler Tuesday at Mallard Creek.
The team finished fifth overall, shooting a combined 558. Sisters won the match with a 430, followed by Mollalla, 442; Cascade, 479; Stayton, 491; Sweet Home, 558 and Kennedy, 573.
Medalist was Krista Pagano of Sisters with a 93.
“We struggled a bit out there today,” Coach Jason Gorham said. “Mallard Creek is a great golf course but not an easy one to play. Our goal this season is to play with Stayton and Cascade but in order to do that, we have to bring some scores down. I was excited to see Lisa Wiens have a good round today, we just need to have everyone playing well on the same day.
Other Husky scores on the day were: Ashley Rice, 138; Lisa Wiens, 142; Chelsie Gagner, 146; Kymi Howe, 153.
