Editor:
I’m sorry, President Obama, but it is pretty hard for me to believe anything you say.
You don’t really have the best track record for telling the truth.
I have listened to politicians from both sides of the aisle, year after year, promising me that they would find a way to help the middle-class taxpayer. Well, it hasn’t happened yet, and I doubt it will happen on your watch. You can take away every cent that the rich have but it will not make my life any better. In fact, every time you or any other politician try to help the middle class you just make it harder on them.
For every penny you take from someone else, it costs me a penny, sometimes more, to replace it.
The rich will always find a way to make money, the poor will always find a program that will benefit them but you can bet the middle class get the shaft every single time.
Please don’t insult my intelligence by promising me something you know will never happen.
