James Lewis Harris Jr., 72, of Sweet Home died on June 3, 2003 at his home.
Harris was born on Jan. 3, 1931 in Phillipsburg, Mont., to James Lewis Harris Sr. and Edna (Craddock) Harris.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1961. He received the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and the Medal of Honor. He retired as a master sergeant.
