Obituary: Albert Octubre

Albert Michael Octubre, 61, of Sweet Home, died early on the morning of Feb. 8, 2010 at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1948 in Waipahu, Hawaii to Alberto and Elizabeth (Benweeden) Octubre.

He lived in Oahu, Hawaii, Milwaukie, Gladstone and Oregon City before settling in Sweet Home.

Mr. Octubre was a truck driver for Blue Line Transport, Lynden Farms and for Clackamas County. His hobbies included cars, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He loved to eat pistachios.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamala Lorts; son Zach Fredrickson; sister, Carol Street, ex-wife Jean Lorts; longtime friends Karen Schunk and Mark Malloy, who helped Albert in raising Michael, James and Steven Schunk, Samantha and Isaac Wall, and Jayme McDonald; a niece, Renee Riley, a nephew, Billy Street; and three grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
