Avis D. Steward, 81, of Sweet Home, died Oct. 7. 2010 in Sweet Home. She was born Dec. 9, 1928 in Durant, Okla., the daughter of Burt and Ella Paris (Boatner) King.
Mrs. Steward was an ordained minister and pastored many different churches along the West Coast. She loved to cook and sew. She took care of many animals for enjoyment.
